I haven’t read any Hemingway yet (I’m still working my way through Cervantes), but I came across this article on Ernest Hemingway Top Five Tips for Writing Well.
And I read that “his finest demonstration of short sentence prowess was when he was challenged to tell an entire story in only 6 words”. The first line in this post is just that, and it is genius.
